My name is Brent Johnson and I'm running for State House to build a better future for Homer, Kasilof, Ninilchik, Seldovia, Anchor Point, Nikolaevsk, and Fritz Creek.

I was born in Seldovia and have lived in the district my entire life. I have worked in fisheries as a commercial setnetter for more than 50 years. With a decade of experience on the Assembly where I previously  served as President, I've been at the forefront of making our local government more effective and responsive to your needs. I have served on various committees and commissions including the Kenai Peninsula Borough Planning Commission, Kenai Peninsula Borough Board of Equalization, Kenai Peninsula Fishermen’s Association, Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association, and more. My deep roots in our community, from my education at Ninilchik High School to my professional and volunteer engagements, have shaped my commitment to serve each of you.
